What is the current status of guided mode with ArduSub? Can this mode be used with SITL and QGroundControl?
It is present and made available for developers. It is not stable or supported for normal users or applications.
It can be used with SITL, QGroundControl may work, but might not have the proper support for ArduSub.
When I use SITL and switch to guided mode it allows me to select a position for the arudsub to travel to but it does not actually move to that location. Am I missing a step? (btw the sub is armed when I select the location)
You are probably experiencing something along these lines:
It is not stable or supported for normal users or applications.
QGroundControl may work, but might not have the proper support for ArduSub.
A developer needs to add the proper support.
