We recently purchased a BlueROV2 and we are having a couple problems when trying to configure the motors.
When we go into the arming mode initially they would move involuntary however after setting the ATC (I) parameter to 0.01 and leveling it is ok.
Now the issue is that we are unable to find the proper configuration:
the left joystick
a) up and down moves thrusters 1 and 2 but the right joystick also moves 1 and 2.
b) left and right moves 6 but it should move 5 and 6
the right joystick
a) up and down only moves 5
b) left and right moves 1 and 2 just like the left joystick.
What is the proper way to fix this situation?
Another problem is that we are getting no video signal ?
It sounds like you are testing in stabilize or depth hold mode, you should do your bench testing in manual mode, which wont try to automatically level the vehicle, and only turns the motors in response to pilot input.
The left joystick should only move thrusters 1-4, the right joystick will also move these thrusters in order to yaw.
I think you should recalibrate the joystick, when you are done this should be the behavior of the indicators at the top-left of the joystick page:
moving the right-hand joystick up should move the throttle channel slider to the right.
moving the right-hand joystick to the right should move the yaw indicator to the right.
moving the left-hand joystick up should move the pitch/forward indicator to the right.
moving the left-hand joystick to the right should move the roll/lateral indicator to the right.
Can you confirm this behavior on the joystick page after you recalibrate the joystick?
After switching manual mode :
Right joystick : up and dow - moves 4, 3, and 5 (back two and top right thruster(camera facing away))
Right Joystick : right and left moves 1 and 2 (front two thrusters)
Left joystick : No movement since calibration …replaced with right directional pad
Left Directional Pad: up and down moves 1 and 2 (front two thursters)
Left directional Pad : left and right moves 3 (top left - standing behind rov2(camera facing away) )
