Setting PID control

Hi,
I am working on an ROV. I use Navio2. As you know autopilots can adjust PID. Is it necessary a pressure sensor to set PID?

You can change the pids without a depth sensor. The only pids used for control without the depth sensor are roll and pitch.

Can Autopilot cards adjust suitable pid parameters?

The user may adjust them. The autopilot will not change them automatically.
