Hello,
I am a student assistant at the Department of Computer Science at California State University, East Bay.
I have been trying to connect my Blue Rov to the Qground control, but it does not show connected sign, however i am able to see the camera working and I can also take pictures and videos through Qground control. I have another BlueRov that connects very well to Qground control and shows the connected sign as well.
I need help him connecting with Qground control. please let me know what more details should I share in order to fix this.
Also I would like to know if we have any replacement policy where in I can give back my old BlueROV and in replacement get a new one.
Ive had this Issue before and saw a solution on a previous forum, since the camera shows its probably not a IP issue but i would double check your settings then, my issue was a firewall setting. if I can find the previous post or remember how i fixed it i will post the answer.
Found This it was what helped me but if it doesnt work you might need to update the ROV / Qground control, Since you said its old, it probably just needs an update.
If that doesnt work then I would have to get more information.
This sounds like your control station computer and communications hardware are likely set up correctly, so most likely the issue is with the autopilot or the MAVLink routing functionality in the onboard computer.
It would be useful to know which onboard computer and flight controller hardware you’re using (e.g. Raspberry Pi 3 or 4, and Pixhawk or Navigator), and (assuming you’re running BlueOS) it would help if you can provide system logs so we can try to determine whether the autopilot on the flight controller is running / being detected, or whether there’s some issue with the MAVLink router
The right place to ask about product replacements would be through our “product problem” support form. For future reference, there’s a link to that in the Resources tab at the top of the forum
