Trying to control servo grabber on ROV

I just upgraded the flight controller to the navigator from the pixhawk and I’m having issues getting the servo grabber working. It’s not the blue robotics grabber. It’s just a rc servo. It was working on the pixhawk. I have it plugged into spot 9 on the navigator. I’ve tried selecting gripper in the PWM setup screen for 9 but then when I go to cockpit there is nothing in the options for programming the buttons on the controller that have anything to do with gripper. I feel like I’m missing something. I looked at the newton gripper documentation and it mentions using qgroundcontrol to program the controller. I assume that is outdated?

Hi @daveycleaning -
Assuming you’re using the latest version of ArduSub, you don’t actually want to set the servoFunction to gripper, but Actuator1. You then map Actuator 1 functions to the desired buttons in Cockpit.
See this thread for more info.

A big update to the BlueROV2 guides to transition away from QGC to Cockpit and BlueOS is coming!

thank you, i was able to get it working. As a note there was no actuator1 in the dropdown list but i used custom and 183 and it worked.
