QGC for Ubuntu 22.04

Hello,

Can you recommend a stable version of QGC that works on Ubuntu 22.04? I tried so far 4.2.8, 4.2.9 but there is no video display & when I try to arm the BlueRov2, all the motors start spinning.

Thanks,
David

For me, it’s even worse. Can’t even run QGroundControl.AppImage on Ubuntu22.04 LTS

Any suggestions on Ubuntu version and QGC version for a stable match? Really appreciate it.

Hi @305155973 -
I’m sorry I’m not sure what is the best Ubuntu QGC combination. Have you tried the Cockpit extension? It should work in Chrome on any OS, and makes multiple video streams and custom widgets, embedded iframes super easy to configure - all open source!

I’ve been using 4.2.3 and 4.2.6 on Ubuntu 22.04 without problem.

I ran into a problem a while ago (I forget the details), and the solution was to delete the config files. They should be at ~/.config/QGroundControl.org.

Hi Clyde, what is the hardware you used? I am with Ubuntu 22.04 on Raspberry pi 4 and the appimage won’t run. It’s the arm64 who caused the issue I figure.
Because when I change to my other Ubuntu laptop (x86), the same appimage runs well.

Thanks Alan. Interesting. I’m having a look at Cockpit now…

Ah, got it – yes, I’m running on x86. I haven’t tried the Pi.
