I’m working on building an ROV and using the latest version of BlueOS. Everything was running smoothly until I tried to update my ArduPilot software through BlueOS. After the update, I encountered an error: “Open failed on port cu.usbmodem01: Permission error while locking the device.” Since then, my Pixhawk has been acting erratically. Initially, the main LED was steady red, but it started blinking red and eventually went dark.
I tried troubleshooting the software through QGroundControl, but whenever I connect the Pixhawk to my computer, I get the same error: “Error: Open failed on port cu.usbmodem01: Permission error while locking the device. Upgrade cancelled.” I’m confused because I’ve successfully done this before on a previous project, and now I have no idea what’s going wrong.
