Ping360 Firmware Update

Hi Folks,

The Ping360 Scanning Sonar just got a performance boost. All new units now ship with updated firmware that improves scan rate across all interfaces and adds support for the auto_transmit function. See the comparison below vs the old firmware.

If you already have a Ping360, you can update the firmware using Ping Viewer (version 2.6.0 or later). Follow the update instructions here.

A couple other quick updates:

  • The Ping360 now uses a new cable with a larger diameter and heavier-gauge conductors.
  • The WetLink Penetrator has changed from M10-4.5-LC to M10-5.5-LC to match the new cable.

Daniel how do you get to the firmware update menu?

Welcome to the forums!

You find this menu in the PingViewer interface, with the sonar connected via USB/Serial directly to the computer you’re using. Checkout the documentation that Daniel linked above?
