Hi - I use a BlueRov2 with a Ping2. I’ve reviewed the QGC telemetry csv log and there seems to be ping2 data logged in the field called ‘rangeFinderDist’. Am I correct that this is distance between the machine and the seabed? I see there is a great deal of effort in extracting data from the PingView bin files (eg Retrieve Ping Sonar data for analysis) - does this provide a different distance measurement to that available in the telemetry csv file? Thanks.

The effort to extract the data from Ping Viewer logs does return he same value as what is logged in the .BIN autopilot log, which I believe is what you’re also finding in QGC logs. The autopilot log is often easiest to deal with, but if you’re using a vehicle with GPS lock there is an extension that may be preferable!
