My 1D ping sonar connects (UDP), it works for 5 min and loses the connection in an unknown way …
I disassembled the electronics, checked all the sockets (on the sonar itself and in the tube) and everything is in perfect condition …
I restarted it, it works 5 min and loses the connection again …
What is going on ?
(On PC Companion Interface I can “see” the UART card but not the Ping)…

Try to access the terminal and run the dmesg -w command, with that, you’ll be able to see if there is an intermittent USB connection. You’ll see something like:
usb 5-3.3: USB disconnect, device number 9

Thank you very much for your answer, before having the time to test your solution I just found the failure which had lasted for weeks … just before the connector that plugs into the UART card, there are 4 small connectors, one of them (the ground) barely held and caused intermittent disconnections …
Monday: welding !!
