pH Sensor for 300m

Hi everyone,

I’m working on an underwater project that requires pH measurement at depths of up to 300m and I’m struggling to find a suitable sensor.

I’ve already looked into Atlas Scientific (rated only up to 70m) and ANB Sensors (a bit expensive for the current project). I’ve also found some old threads on this forum with the same question, but none of them got a response.

Does anyone know of other solutions for this problem?

Thanks!

Hi @Dannylo, welcome to the forum

This one got a couple of responses, but not with specific sensor suggestions.

What kind of project are you doing? If you don’t need high frequency / continual measurements, another option would be to take water samples where you want measurements taken, in which case you can measure the pH at the surface instead.

Hi @EliotBR, thank you for your quick response!

We are developing an autonomous USV for water quality sampling and analysis in coastal waters. Since the vehicle operates away from support vessels, the collected water may take a long time between sampling and lab analysis, which could interfere with the pH measurements. Ideally, we would like to take readings at different stages of the collection process to track any changes over time.
