Hi, i have replaced the pixhawk with Navigator board. I have set it up according to guide
First start up, the pi and navigator power up for 3sec before they shut down (blackout) i have used multimeter and masure voltage from power supply, and have the right voltage, but there is no voltage from one connector (powersupply) what was connected to AUX 5v.
I replaced power supply and tried again, same failure occured again and one more power suppy burned
I tested to power only on main power and then it’s start up. But there is something wrong with Aux 5v port.
Hi @Fjosen -
What do you have connected to the Navigator’s power port, the jst-gh connector?
Do you have a 5V BEC producing 5V connecting to the Navigator servo rail? This powers the tilt servo - is it functioning normally?
It sounds like you have a short somewhere that is casing issues… is the Navigator new? Feel free to reach out via the help center, report a problem with a product, with your order number.
No sensor was connected when this happen, only thrusters, gripper, light and tilt servo for camera and all thrusters run as it should. Old setup with pi and pixhawk work whithout problems, this occured when i updated to navigator.
Hi @Fjosen -
It sounds like your power supply fails when it is connected to the Aux 5V connector on the Navigator. This connection point only supplies voltage/power to the pins that the ESCs and tilt servo connect to. The ESCs should all only have signal and ground connected, so the only thing that is using that power would be your camera tilt servo. Measure the resistance between the center pin (5v) and ground, with and without the tilt servo connected. It should not measure low resistance in either configuration - if it does, then that would explain why your power supplies are failing.
The Power port on the Navigator, that uses jst-gh, is where the PSM module connects to measure battery voltage and current.
