I have the Navigator connected to the Rasberry and powered up both Rasberry and The Navigator. The unit is still just sitting on the desk with no electronic connected except from 2 off usb cameras. I have connected a servo to PWM 16 on the Navigator for testing. The servo operates from 800-2200ms and I have adjusted this in the vehicle set-up. The buttons on the logitech controller are assigned to Mount til up / Down. I get the camera feed but I do not get any reaction to the servo.
Any suggestions ?
Hi @SDI -
Do you have 5V power connected to the Navigator directly? This is necessary to power the servo rail, for all GPIO PWM servo outputs. You can check by using a multimeter to see if 5V is present between the center pin and the ground pin (-) on the Navigator. Alternatively, if the servo doesn’t resist you rotating the horn when connected it is not powered!
Connect 5V to (18) Aux 5V input
Thank you, Tony. I found the problem…it is kinda embarrassing but still worth mention. So, I did power the Navigator on 5V main and Aux 5V. For testing the servo, I used one cord from a 3pin servo pin for the signal. It turn out that I inserted the connector 180 wrong way, installing the signal onto negative…no wonder nothing happened. After that was sorted, I also tried to disconnect the 5V power on the aux. The servo (connected to 12volt power) was the only item connected to the Navigator. So now the servo runs fine, its funny how thing works out in the end
