First I want to clarify that I am new to BlueRobotics and this is my first time using this software. I was able to get the motors armed and moving on the QGroundControl as well as the video streaming. Now I am trying to get the servo tilt for the camera working but it sends a message that I am missing parameters. I am not sure how to set those parameters or what values I should set them as. Also from reading other posts I couldn’t find the parameters they said were important such as BRD_PWM_Count.
Just want to update what I have done so far even if it isn’t much.
-I have uninstalled and reinstalled QGroundControl and setup everything on there again.
-Installed BlueOS on a different Raspberry Pi
-Redownloaded the Ardupilot firmware
Each of those things didn’t solve the problem, but I have question on whether another factor is important for solving the problem. On both QGroundcontrol and BlueOS there is an option to save or download parameters. I was wondering if there was a way to download the missing parameters or if I could download the parameters from somebody who doesn’t have the error
Hi @BlakeC and @hydro81
Unfortunately, there is no solution! This is a nuisance error, and requires an update to QGround Control to resolve from what I understand… it is asking the autopilot for things it doesn’t know the autopilot doesn’t have - it shouldn’t affect normal operation!
If you find this annoying, you may enjoy Cockpit, where Blue Robotics has been focusing its efforts on improving the ROV control experience. It’s fully open source, and super configurable!
I wasn’t sure if this should go in a different post, but it is related in the fact that I am still trying to get the camera tilt to work.
I have the servo plugged in to the pixhawk 1 to the port aux 1 . Servo 9 is set to the mount tilt function and the joystick setup has a button for mount tilt up and mount tilt down. When I arm it the motors work fine and so do the other buttons, but the camera mount doesn’t move. I tried to do the same thing in Cockpit, but I had the same issue. I think I must have missed a step for setting up the servo. Does someone know what that is?
Hi @BlakeC -
I think you may have a conflict with your PWM output settings. Can you share a screenshot of your PWM output mappings from the Vehicle Setup / PWM outputs page? This page has how you should be configuring the outputs.
Hi @tony-white
I apologize for the wait, I realized that I had edited some parameters before taking the picture, but now I have got a picture of how it looked like previously.
Here is my screenshot of the PWM output mapping now after changing to how you suggested. I also changed the servos port to 8
I dont know if you can see the first picture, but if not it looks the same as the second, but with the disabled from SERVO9_FUNCTION and the mountilt in SERVO8_FUNCTION swapped
