ArduRover 4.6.0 Bug

Hello everyone, I am working with a Blueboat with BlueOS v. 1.4.2. I have also installed ArduRover v. 4.5.7. I have also integrated an ArduSimple RTK3B Pro, which sends an NMEA GGA code to the UDP port 27000 via NodeRED. I have sent the NMEA code to MavLink Component 221 via NMEA Injector so that the GNSS data is sent to the navigator as secondary GNSS. I have adjusted the autopilot parameters so that GPS_Type2 = MAVLINK and GPS_AUTO_SWITCH = disabled. I also set GPS_PRIMARY=1 so that the secondary GNSS is used for navigation. However, after the update from ArduRover 1.5.7 to 1.6, the autopilot no longer received the GNSS data via the NMEA injector. I just wanted to share this finding in case anyone here has the same problem.

I’ve experienced something similar.

I downgraded back to 1.5.7 for now.

Hi @Arne1,

We haven’t yet done extensive testing with Rover-4.6, but it sounds like this is an issue we need to look into, so it would be helpful if you could provide your BlueOS system logs, and ideally an example of your raw NMEA stream as well.

It’s likely also worth reporting this upstream to alert and get advice from the primary ArduRover developers. That could be in the more general ArduPilot forum, which has a dedicated category for Rover-4.6, and/or via a GitHub Issue

As @CA_BlueBoat mentioned, returning to 4.5.7 may be a viable workaround for now, while the problem is being investigated.
