GPS on Navigator?

Greetings All,

I seem to have lost GPS connection on my Navigator in the BlueBoat after trying to update to 4.2.3 to 4.4.0, and then reverting back to 4.2.3. I have 2 BlueBoats and currently neither of them are getting any GPS location using the GPS units that came preinstalled with the BlueBoats. I have tried connecting them to the default Serial 5/I2C 6 port and also to the Serial 3 port, and no GPS info is being read by the boards. I have some old serial Here2 units that I tried as well, and these are not injecting GPS data either. Do you confirm that they were originally connected to Serial 3 or Serial 5, that these settings are correct?

I even changed the serial 3 protocol to GPS and still nothing in QGC

Personal blog here…lol…So when I had the GPS plugged into Serial 3, I got Magnetometer, AHRS, and pre-arm errors

When I connect back to Serial 5, these errors are gone (except for AHRS) but still no GPS data:

As a result I think that the GPS was plugged into Serial 5 from the factory…

This was confirmed…GPS into Serial 5 from the factory

We’ll continue to troubleshoot the GPS with you, but for those reading this…

DO NOT UPDATE TO 4.4.0
Initial issues with 4.4.0 ArduRover have been resolved, it is ok to update!
