I am using a BlueRobotics Navigator board on a raspberry pi 4, with BlueOS installed. When I plug it in and try to arm it in the cockpit or when I try to callibrate the compass, I get the error “MAV_RESULT_FAILED”. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi @tupalupa, welcome to the forum
Could you try to go through the “Configure” section of the BlueOS Vehicle Setup page, stepping through each tab in order?
If that fails, please provide more information about your setup, including
- your BlueOS version
- your ArduPilot firmware version
- what kind of hardware you have connected to your system (e.g. are you using standard BlueROV2 electronics, or BlueBoat electronics, or something custom?)
- whether you’re attempting to calibrate the compass near any magnets, large metal structures, or electrical wiring
Hi,
Everything except compass calibrates successfully, with compass giving us a MAV_RESULT_FAILED.
We are using BlueOS 1.4.1, Ardupilot 4.6.0, a Raspberry Pi 4 with a navigator hat, connected to a Taoglas M9n - IST8308, but it gives us the error even with only the raspberry pi connected to the computer.
While we were working on it near a metal structure in what is essentially a basement, we have moved our setup around outside away from buildings, we still get the MAV_RESULT_FAILED error on calibrating the compass.
Everything else in this picture wasn’t there when we first got the error, and nothing is set up other than the pi 4.
On boot, we get a yellow blue red blue yellow (or red blue red, dont remember which),that I know means a prearm error, if that helps.
