Perplexing issue here. I have the power sense module that’s new. For some reason the voltage drops to 12v even down in the 11v. Fully charged battery. Only load is the pi/navigator, fathom tether, and 1 dwe camera. I checked the amp draw of the components, it’s only 0.3 amps. Checked the voltage with various things unplugged. Ended up cutting the bullet connectors off and soldering an xt90 directly to the leads. No luck. I have directly powered the setup without the power sense and it runs at 15v. Could the positive lead have a bad solder on the board? Any ideas?
Hi @EAIROV -
That does sound strange!
Can you measure the resistance with a multimeter, from positive input to positive output and ground input to ground output? If there is truly a voltage drop, then it follows there should be significant resistance!
Are you measuring the 11-12V with a multimeter, or is this the output of the sensor in BlueOS you’re referring to?
I’m measuring the voltage with a multi meter. I originally noticed it in the blueos monitoring and verified it with a multimeter. Been in field all week but was able to test resistance and it seemed low. Like 0.3 ohms, I don’t remember exactly. What a weird physics defying mystery. A 2-3vikt drop should have high resistance and some indication.
