Problem with Power Sense Module

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my BlueROV2. After plugging and unplugging the battery several times (long story), it seems it no longer turns on.
I opened it to check, and the first strange thing I noticed is at the Power Sense Module. I measure 15.6V on one side, but only 0.1V on the other side.
Is this normal? Shouldn’t it show 15.6V on both sides, and only measure the voltage and current?

Any advice on troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Nicolas

Hi @Magform
Welcome to the forums!

It does sound like your power sense module has been damaged. You should be able to measure battery voltage on both the input and output power lines to the unit, assuming the battery is connected. You’ll likely need to replace it to use your ROV with power measurements! If this is a recent order, please reach out via the help center, report a problem with a product.

Hi, thanks for the really quick response,
Can I simply remove it if I don’t need power measurements, or is it required for the ROV to function correctly?

Hi @Magform -

You can indeed remove it, to use the ROV you may need to disable failsafe checks around battery voltage level, and take care to not over-discharge your batteries!
