WHEN I START UP MY BLUEROV2, I GET THIS ALERT MESSAGE ON THE QGROUNDCONTROL.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT MEANS AND HOW TO FIX IT?

Hi @Rov1 -
Do you mean the EKF3 IMU force reset message?
This may mean your calibration of motion sensors isn’t particularly good, and on startup the EKF (the process that is fusing IMU data) has to reset itself to figure out where things are. Try recalibrating your accelerometer and compass, and if you go o the vehicle setup page in BlueOS you can also calibrate your gyroscope which may help as well.
You also seem to be running quite an old version of ArduSub. Have you upgraded to BlueOS?
Hello Rov1 and Tony,
On our two Blue ROVs (Pixhawk and Navigator), this is the only error we’ve never been able to resolve; it appears regularly regardless of the dive conditions.
We’ve performed multiple calibrations of all sensors, and this has never resolved this issue.
According to some users, this is due to the processor lacking the power to perform the calculations related to the Kalmann filter (EKF).
Kind regards. Laurent
Hi @FlyingManta
I can assure you, the message is not related to processing power whatsoever! Have you tried recalibrating your motion sensors?
I HAVE NOT DONE THE CALIBRATION, NOW I AM HAVING ANOTHER PROBLEM. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I CONNECT THE BATTERY TO THE ROV, THE NORMAL VIDEO IS SEEN ON THE LAPTOP, BUT THE FLASHING INDICATOR LIGHT OF THE PHIXHAWK MARKS IT IN YELLOW, AND THE NORMAL SHOULD BE BLUE, WHEN EMITTING THAT YELLOW LIGHT I DO NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THE MOTORS AND IN THE QGROUND THE MESSAGE DOES NOT APPEAR THAT THE EQUIPMENT IS NOT READY TO FLY. AFTER THIS I TRY SEVERAL DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING THE BATTERY, UNTIL THE FLASHING BLUE LIGHT APPEARS ON THE PHIXHAWK AND IN THE QGROUND THE MESSAGE THAT THE EQUIPMENT IS READY TO FLIGHT ALREADY APPEARS.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? WHAT IS IT DUE TO? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
JUST A NOTE: WHEN THE PHIXHAWK IS FLASHING BLUE, THE PROPELLER BUZZERS SOUND, BUT WHEN THE PHIXHAWK IS FLASHING YELLOW, THEY DON’T SOUND.
Hi @Rov1 -
No need to shout!
It sounds like your system is having trouble booting, the pixhawk in particular. This could be due to a problem with the pixhawk, or some other aspect of the system like the 5V power supply. I would guess your system is running legacy software that Blue Robotics no longer supports - Companion OS. If you updated to BlueOS, you could see if the issue persists and share logs to better determine the cause.
