Using a helicopter tail rotor rate/hold gyro

Has anyone worked with using the subject gyro for heading hold in your ROV? They are highly developed and inexpensive.

Hi Richard,

I haven’t used one for an ROV. Since you have two thrusters for turning you would probably need two gyros. Otherwise, you could read the gyro output into the Arduino and add it to the thruster outputs.
