Use XRCE DDS along ardupilot 4.5.0 stable version

Hi there as i can see the firmware update to 4.5 version of Ardupilot is available. Starting in ArduPilot 4.5, ArduPilot supports a direct DDS interface compatible with ROS 2, which removes the need to use MAVROS for certain applications. Is it possible to skip MAVROS and use the XRCEE DDS protocol to communicate between pi4 and navigator?
