I just assembled and did the software setup for my second BlueROV2 Heavy config. Everything went smoothly except one day later I can no longer reach BlueOS on either blueos.local or 192.168.2.2
Hi @Aknawby -
Sorry for the issues!
To confirm the Pi is booting ok, can you see a blinking Blue light on the Navigator, and hear the thruster initialization beep about 45 seconds to a minute after connecting power?
If so, and the link light on both FXTI and in the ROV on the Fathom-X (port side) is lit (and never going out), then your issue is likely network configuration on your topside computer. Verify that the interface hasn’t been configured differently than the 192.168.2.1 / 255.255.255.0 you initially configured it at, and maybe try a different USB cable from FXTI to the computer if available.
If all else fails, re-flashing your SD-card is another potential solution, but would mean you need to repeat your thruster direction and motion sensor setup…
Hi Tony,
Thanks for the quick response. I could see the blinking blue light, I heard the initialization beep after about 1min 30sec. I double checked the network config and tried two different laptops and two different fxti boxes with different USB cables. I also had solid green lights on the FXTI.
I re-flashed the SD-card and it seems to be back to normal.
Thanks for your help!
