Tether to tether interface connection too short...missing jumper?

Installation instructions say to connect blue and blue/white stripe wires to the Fathom-X tether interface via the green terminal block, however our factory installed tether terminations are 6 inches short of reaching the front of the assembly. Are we missing a jumper cable or something to make this connection?

@AlaskaSubmarine It looks like we missed providing a Blue and White extension cable that connects the R2 tether to the Fathom-X. Sorry about that! Please send an email to support@bluerobotics.com with your shipping address and we will get one out to you on Monday. It will look similar to what is below:

For anyone else that this also happened to, please send an e-mail to the above address and we will send the required cable.

Thanks, WILCO.

@kklemens,

Could you please provide a link to the small wire pin terminators shown in the picture above?

Wire ferrules here: McMaster-Carr

I’ve gotten them from Amazon as well.

This is the crimper I use: http://a.co/d/f4CYrSO

@PacNW,

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

@tciii We use ferrules for 24 AWG wire. The links @PacNW for the ferrules and hexagonal crimpers will work just fine.

20180828_204020 what type of connector is this?

@Fazdli It a 3 position 0.1” (2.54mm) Crimp Connector Housing. They are also very commonly used as “servo connectors.” We get ours from Pololu. Due to their size (able to fit through a penetrator hole) and low cost, these connectors will probably be our standard for some time.

In the meantime, while we wait for the jumper to arrive, we have simply been using a conventional twisted pair of wires from a telecom line stripped and pushed into the connector. It has been working well.
