We’ve got a new guide hot off the Arbor Press: Connectorize the Fathom Tether with a Cobalt Connector!

We frequently receive inquiries about a quick-disconnect tether since an attached system can be cumbersome to transport. Blue Robotics is developing an epoxy-free connector solution that should be launched in the near future. Meanwhile, we want to provide those interested with a path forward!

Hi, I had a follow up question for this. Can we use a similar guide for the fathom slim tether using a 3 pin cobalt connector, or is the tether sheath too slim for the connector?

Hi Andrew!

We’ve yet to try this, but using the 3-pin Cobalt Series Cable Termination Kit in the regular size instead of the large size we used for the Fathom Tether should work well with the Slim Tether.
