Suggestions on Mounting the Ping360 and Sonoptix Multibeam on BlueRov2

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone mounted the Ping360 and sonoptix multi-beam on the same ROV. Following the install guides it seems like multibeam when mounted on the roof rack will block the ping360. Does anyone have experience with this or have alternative mounting locations for the two sonars?

Hi Adam -
I believe the top third of the Ping360, where the transducer is in the oil-filled portion, is higher than the Sonoptix so mounting both to the Roof Rack will work fine. If for some reason this isn’t the case, you could mount the Ping360 with a 3D printed standoff plate, using longer bolts, to move it higher up relative to the multibeam.
