I am trying to find a way to add a Xbox controller button similar to that of pilot gain on the blue rov 2 to the blue boat. I find the blue boat to be too fast at times and would like to limit the power/speed by means of a controller up down button. put them up or down at 25% incriments.
A second query is that of the xbox controller. I have set the buttons as per the setup guide, however the A,B,Y,X arent changeing the control mode. The throttles are working fine.

Unfortunately the functionality you’re after is not currently a feature of ArduRover, like it is for ArduSub. I typically only drive manually for the very short moment of launch and recovery. The rest of the time I click on the map and “go here” in guided mode, pausing to loiter if necessary… this means the clay is typically going it’s cruise_speed parameter.
If you need to drive manually (maybe in acro mode so heading is maintained) but control speed more like a boat throttle, maybe it’s possible to setup a slider in Cockpit to control your forward RC signal? This post illustrates how to do that with lights on ArduSub….
