QGC crash restoring from task bar

(Mark Bleyerveld) #1

HI there

I am running QGroundControl v3.2.4-BlueRobotics-Rev3 on a Debian Stretch PC with LXDE.

It minimizes to the task bar fine, but every time I restore it, it crashes.

Just wondering whether anyone else has seen this, whether it is specific to the BlueRobotics version, and whether there is anything logged which would help troubleshoot.

Thanks
Mark

I just noticed that I don’t get the same crash on another Debian/LXDE machine running BlueRobotics-Rev2 of QGC 3.4.2, so I will start troubleshooting from there.

Hi @Mark_USR,

Can you send a log ?
Run export QT_LOGGING_RULES="*.debug=true" , and start QGC via terminal, after the crash send the log with pastebin.

I will get the log info ASAP.

In the meantime I have tried with rev2 and I get the same crash.

After some troubleshooting I have determined that it only happens when there is an incoming UDP video stream:
Video as main display --> crash
Video as HUD (lower left inset) --> crash
Video as HUD but HUD hidden --> crash
Incoming video port changed to non-existent incoming stream --> no crash
so I am guessing something to do with my gstreamer installation.

Thanks for your attention.

OK, log output went way past the buffer on my terminal window… I will redirect to a text file and upload it.

Thanks
Mark

Here’s the log file: qgc_crash_log.txt (3.9 MB)
