Power Requirements for Ping360 Sonar

I have a Ping360 sonar device, and I want to power it on and see it scanning using the Ping-Viewer software. However, I would like to ask: what voltage and current should I use to power the Ping360 sonar device?
What is the most suitable voltage and current rating for safely operating the Ping360 sonar? Thanks.

Hi @Abdurrahman -
This information can be found on the product page in the technical details section…
Don’t forget to checkout the other relevant guides on that page before asking for assistance!

First of all, thank you for your answer, Tony White. I checked the technical details section of the product on Blue Robotics’ official page. It only states the device’s supply voltage, which is specified as a maximum of 25V and a minimum of 11V for the device. Since I will be powering the device from a DC power supply, the current draw of the device is also important to me in addition to the voltage, and the appropriate current value is not listed in the technical details section. In your opinion, what should be the most suitable voltage and current values that I should provide from the power supply to power the Ping360 sonar? I would be very grateful if you could answer this question. This is very important to me.Thanks.

Hi @Abdurrahman -
The current depends on the voltage supplied - the technical details give the voltage range and power consumption of the device (5 watts.) To determine the current, simply use the formula power = voltage multiplied by current (in amps), and solve based on the voltage you supply - easy! This is why the current is not listed (it is fairly minimal!) For 15 volts, this yields 5/15 = 0.33 amps.
