Ping360 Static IP

Hi @gcelec,

I’d suggest you try to download the continuous release version @patrickelectric linked to earlier. In the screenshots he posted the ping he’s connecting to has a 192.168.0.xxx address, which is being detected, but that version of PingViewer should also allow setting a static IP and changing it to 192.168.2.xxx if you want to (as per his second screenshot).

Hope that helps!

Hi @EliotBR,
Thanks for the tip - I’ll try that.
My workaround was logging into the router admin and changing the DHCP settings to assign the IP address between 192.16.2.100 and 192.168.2.200.

Hi,

I have some problems to set a static IP for my Ping360 sonar.

I follow your guide
Device manager - IP menu - set static.

But it seems to be resetting back to DHCP every time I cycle the power of the sonar.

And after a power-cycle it seems to be depending on a DHCP server to be assigned an IP address.

My ping360 sonar is configured for Ethernet.
In my BlueROV I have a Ethernet switch connected between the fathom-x and raspberry PI. In the same switch I connect my ping360 sonar.

But, when I power up the system. The sonar is unreachable before raspberry PI is started properly and it’s DHCP server have assigned an IP-address for the sonar. Even if I set static IP at this point, the same problem occurres the next time power is cycled.
After everything is up and running the sonar works on it self even if the ROV if powered off.

Any tip to solve this issue and get my Ping360 to save its static IP?
