Ping-viewer does not find the Ping altimeter.
You can find it by connecting BLUARTUSB directly to my computer.
Companion version is v0.0.17.
I checked the troubleshooter but found no problem.
Is there anything else to check?
Hi,
Please upgrade companion to the last version available (0.0.18).
I’ll give it a try.
Thank you very much.
I was unable to connect after upgrading the companion to the latest version (0.0.18).
I forgot to confirm.
The USB-UART converter was not displayed in the serial device list of the top computer (Linux).
The companion shows that a USB-UART converter is connected.
It can also be found by connecting the USB-UART converter directly to the top computer.
I think there is a problem connecting the raspberry pi to the top computer.
How do I check?
Hi,
Just to make sure, ping-viewer works if you Ping in your surface computer ?
If you ping the Surface computer, ping-viewer will work.
The USB to Serial Adapter is displayed on the companion, so I think there is no problem connecting the raspberry pi to the Adapter.
Therefore, we consider it a communication problem between the raspberry pi and the Surface computer.
Hi,
The companion exposes the detected ping device via a UDP port that Ping-Viewer scans. Is your networking setup the usual one with the companion IP being 192.168.2.2?
