Pan tilt camera unit for BlueROV2

I have designed a pan-tilt camera unit that can be mounted directly on the BlueROV2.
I searched previous topics but could not find the same, so I share it here.

This design allows the pan-tilt functionality to be added without modifying the standard BlueROV2 enclosure, dome or camera board.
The unit consists of parts that can be 3D printed and several mechanical elements (purchased parts).
As some 3D printed parts require some precision, such as servo motor gears and bearing inserts, please modify the data to suit your own environment.

We have uploaded a video of the assembled machine on youtube at BlueROV2, so please take a look.

Hi @Atsuhiro
Very cool design, amazing! :sunglasses: It would be great if you could put it on Printables, as we maintain collections there!

ArduSub should support both pan control in addition to the typical tilt, it’s just a matter of setting the servo function parameter for the servo that you’ve connected and mapping it to a button in Cockpit or QGC - is that how you’re controlling it in the POV recording? :raccoon:
I already prefer the tilt stabilized footage on a BlueROV2, as it can be a lot easier to track things. Maybe @williangalvani knows if it’s possible to also stabilize with a yaw actuator, for 2 axis stabilization!

I hope I can find the time to build one soon, thanks so much for sharing!

Hi @tony-white
Thanks! I uploaded these data to Printables
Please check and use this.

I am also very interested in stabilization! (I’d love to develop a 3-axis gimbal if I had the time.)
Please give me some information if you know anything about it. @williangalvani
