Am struggling to get sbus receiver working on the navigator. I can plug it straight in to an old pixhawk and it works so its not the receiver. I read in the setup document that the navigator is pre configured for sbus but on investigation of the bottom side of the board I see the sbus trace is not connected. Can someone please confirm my observation and clarify whether I need to bridge the connection to get sbus working. Thanks
So an update to this is I have bridged the sbus and cetre pads. Still no radio signal coming through… At a loss at the moment.
Hi @andrewjamez -
You should NOT need to bridge that pad for SBUS to function! Here are the recommended steps:
- Flash Rover Beta (>=4.4) (assuming you’re trying to use a RC transmitter with a Blue Boat?)
- Make sure there’s nothing connected to Serial1
- Set SERIAL1_PROTOCOL to RCIN
- set RC_OPTIONS to 36
- Restart the autopilot
You should then be able to calibrate and use your RC transmitter from QGround Control Vehicle Setup menu.

Thanks, Yes we are installing the navigator into a boat. Does that mean I will lose function of the serial 1 port?
