Leak sensor locations

The ideal location for the leak sensor is on the bottom of the electronics tube, not on the tray which would require a lot of water to enter before being detected.
However mounting it there would mean it would be scraped off when the tube was opened.
The solution would be to have a clearance cutout on the tray and a guide so it follows the same path when sliding off.
Has anyone considered this? How did you do it.
Leaks can be as slow as a drip through cable or wire insulation, or they could result in a spray that would be detected fast. It is the former type of leak I am considering. The best place for this kind of leak is at the bottom of the penetrators on the end cap.

Hi Peter!
The BlueROV2 uses leak sensors mounted to the electronics tray in such a way that there is very little clearance between them and the tube wall. Any water that ends up in the enclosure should hit one of the sensors, and multiple are used including one at the front, and one in the middle of the enclosure. You can see the front one in the red box here:

The end-cap forms a bit of a shelf, so water that leaks from a penetrator bolt may run out of the endcap and into the tube without encountering a leak sensor positioned there…
