Issues with the video stream from de ROV

So, in our latests dives we’ve experienced issues with the video. These issues appear as a corruption of the image that lasts about 1 second. It might be a problem not from the software, but from the tether itself? since the issue appears more frequent the more tether is deployed.

Here are some photos of what happens:
First, the video looks like this, perfectly with no issue

Then, the image corrupts like this, lasting around 1 or 2 seconds. It happens randomly.

Hope its something software related and not hardware related… Does anyone knows the issue?

Hi @Javi,

that fix an issue similar to this one. You may need to try a few different options in the video decoding settings (click purple QGC logo in the top left, then Application Settings - the video decode priority is near the bottom of the top box).

If that doesn’t fix the issue, can you provide some more information on how you’re powering the ROV, as well as what you’re using to convert that for the 5V electronics? Some of our older ROVs used a 5V3A converter, whereas we now use and recommend a 5V6A converter.

be sure to have your computer plugged into power so the video card is working at full performance. I found this was an issue when on batter power on the laptop.
