Help on Short Circuit

Today at noon diving with Blue ROV2 at Miami Beach, suddenly it stopped working, so we brought it in and realized that it had short circuit a cable and board. I just opened it and realized that it had 2 parts burned. I have included 3 pictures

Can some one tell me what happened so it will not be repeated in the future and how I can fix this issue, must probably replace these part
