im trying to flash ardupilot to a mateksys wlite flight controller but it keeps coming up with this error
i was wondering if anyone had a solution to this problem.
i also tried flashing the firmware using a companion computer but i dont want to mess with my firewall settings and that was the only conclusion i could find to that problem.
the flight ccontroller is pluged into my computer through a powered usb port and its not plugged into a battery
the firmware im trying to flash is ardupilot. i tried using two more different usb cables one had the same error the other just didn’t show any messages in qgroundcontrol so im assuming the second one dosn’t have data
Hi @Mini
There are many flavors of Ardupilot - can you be more specific?
You should be able to connect the pixhawk via USB, and then in the QGC firmware menu, once you disconnect and reconnect the pixhawk, you’ll be presented with the firmware update menu.
More specifically I was trying to flash the latest stable ardusub version and that is the way I was trying to do it but when I plugged it into my laptop it came up with that error.
also i’m using a mateksys wlite will that affect anything ardupilot says its supported.
Hi @Mini -
The recommended flight controllers can be found here. While the mateksys is listed as supported by Ardupilot, you may be the first to try and use it with ArduSub!
You may want to check device manager with the unit plugged in to see if you have some sort of driver issue… generally it seems that QGC just isn’t able to talk to the board, so I don’t think the problem is eve firmware specific at this point!
