Hello,
My colleague and I just arrived abroad with our new BlueROV2, only to find that the
Blue Robotics Lithium Polymer Batteries (14.8V, 10Ah) we brought - which are listed as a recommended battery for the BlueROV2 - do not seem to fit in the battery enclosure due to a “lip” inside the enclosure. I’m hoping we are just jetlagged and overlooking something simple, but any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Megan
Hi @Megan -
Those batteries should definitely fit in the 3" battery enclosure! Can you share pictures of it not fitting? If the rectangular battery is “puffy” than it may have been over-discharged, and therefore not fit - nor should it be used in this state!
Thanks, Tony. It doesn’t look puffy, and my colleague says they haven’t been over-discharged.
I can try to take a better photo later today but for now:
It appears that the batter enclosure’s end cap has been unscrewed to access the battery. You should leave the end cap screwed to the flange, and the flange pulled from the enclosure tube to access the battery.
