The version of BlueOS I’m using is 1.4.2, and the Cockpit version is V1.15.2. My hardware is a Raspberry Pi 4B. Last week, during my outdoor test, I used Blue OS to record some videos, which were divided into several segments. However, when I logged into Blue OS on Monday, I found no video data at all. Was the data lost? Additionally, the configuration file of Cockpit reverts to default every time. Is there a way to keep it in the style I set?
Hi @Zshun -
Welcome to the forums!
Video is not recorded onboard the Raspberry Pi, but within your browser or in your home folder (if using the standalone Cockpit.) It should be possible to recover the video - were you using the extension or the standalone version?
When you say Cockpit is losing your configuration - what option are you choosing when presented with the conflict message on startup? “Use BlueOS” settings will load what was stored on the vehicle, “Use Cockpit” will ue the configuration stored on your local machine from last usage…
I’m really sorry. I haven’t logged in to the forum in the past few days, which is why my reply is a bit late. If the video is recorded in the browser, do I need to download it before it ends? Besides, Blue OS saves the Cockpit configuration automatically by default, right? I checked and found that I have too many Cockpit configurations and need to select them manually.
Hi @Zshun -
No, you can download the video at any point - you’re not actually downloading it, but building the video from cached files. Assuming you recorded the video using the Cockpit extension, rather than standalone, you’ll need to have the vehicle connected, and use the same browser to select and download the video within cockpit. If you were using incognito mode, the video is likely lost!
The standalone version of Cockpit does not require this extra step, with videos appearing in the Cockpit directory in your home folder.
I see. Thank you for your reply.
