Captured Inserts in Frame?

Good morning,

I’m working on a new design for my tether spool and eventually will also make some updates to my BlueROV2 Frame and was wondering about the threaded inserts that are embedded in the Bottom Panel and other horizontal panels. Are these just square nuts or are they something special? Thanks!

Hi @DrewFulton,

Yes, they are essentially just square nuts, but of our own design made out of aluminum. They are 12.7 x 12.7 x 4 mm thick, M5 x 0.8 mm threaded.

Thanks Adam! Looks like I’ll just use some square nuts then! They won’t sit flush like yours do but I think it will be just fine.
