Burned ESC after installing new T200

Hi,
I replaced a complete thruster and after installing and connecting the battery the ESC at this thruster burned out in a second. I thougt, maybe there was a drop of water from another thruster on it and now I want to replace the ESC. But it looks not like the installed burned one:

The spare part looks like this an has an additional black/white cable and I don’t know where to connect it after replacing. Is there a incompatibility between new thrusters and older ESCs what can caused the damage? The old ESCs all have a cooler on it but it seems the spare part not.

Do I haven’t took something in account?
Thanks for help!

Chris

Hi @schleitaucher -
The ESC that burned up looks to be quite old - definitely from an earlier revision ROV. The basic ESC sold now definitely works as a replacement! The black and white wire are the ground and signal connections made to control the unit, and should be connected to the appropriate motor channel on the Navigator (or Pixhawk.)

This connection may have melted off of the damaged ESC!
The new ESC does have an aluminum heatsink, it is blue and printed with identifying text…
