BlueROV2 out of disk space

Since updating to the latest BlueOS and Ardusub firmware I have been having warnings on BlueOS that the disk is nearly full.

Would I be correct in thinking that the micro-SD is the disk it speaks of, so changing SD to a larger one will do the trick? I assume just copy files from existing to new card beforehand?

Hi @3dMB -
You can likely free up space on your microSD card by removing Autopilot Logs, system logs (gear in lower left of BlueOS), and previous unused versions of BlueOS. If that doesn’t do the trick, you could remove any extensions that you don’t use much.

Because the SD card hosts a linux image, it’s not as simple as copying files from it to a new card if you want to upgrade. The BlueROV2 and BllueBoat have been shipping with 128gb cards for over a year, so that’s a good size to shoot for. Your best bet is to backup your autopilot parameters, and flash the new card with BlueOS. Then, load those saved parameters up on your fresh install!
