Bluerov cannot connect to QgroundControl via blueOS

Hello everyone,

I need some help with my BlueROV.

My ROV cannot connect to QGroundControl. QGroundControl does not detect the vehicle and shows no heartbeat.

Here is my setup:

  • Vehicle: Tulamben Mini ROV
  • Flight Controller: Pixhawk
  • Companion Computer: BlueOS
  • Ground Station: Windows 11
  • QGroundControl: Latest version
  • Tether: Fathom tether
  • Ethernet Adapter: Fathom-X

I have already tried:

  • Restarting BlueOS and the ROV.
  • Restarting QGroundControl.
  • Checking the Ethernet cable and tether.
  • Confirming the PC can access the BlueOS web interface.
  • Reinstalling QGroundControl.

However, QGroundControl still cannot detect the vehicle.

Could anyone please advise what I should check next?

Thank you very much.

Hi @rovinspeksi, welcome to the forum

I’ve combined your two posts because they seem to be nearly identical, though seemingly for two separate vehicle setups.

If the BlueOS interface is able to be connected to, your QGC connection issue must be related to your network configuration.

Have you set up your Fathom-X connection to use the relevant IP address, and allowed QGC through the windows defender firewall?

If your network or computer has a separate firewall installed that may also require some configuration for QGC to be allowed to connect to the vehicle via UDP.
