Blue Boat connection problems

I’m getting power; however there’s no connection coming through the Ethernet switch when transferring to Port 1.

There is power on the main ethernet switch it just won’t work on the adapter for the side sonar ??

Any advice

Hi @John59a -

It looks like that ethernet switch has potentially been damaged by connecting it to the wrong power connector! The bottom left port you’ve connected to power is for 5V input, and you may have connected it to the fuse board and supplied battery voltage? The correct connector for higher voltage levels is the one in the upper left…

Sorry for the news! It may still work ok when connected to power correctly, but the 5V input is surely damaged…

Hi Tony, I have connected to the V2 lower voltage, as I also have the multibeam that will be attached to the V1 using up the ports.

How do i know if it is damaged ??

Hi @John59a -

If you only connected it to 5V, that’s great news! However, you should see network traffic lights for plugged in devices when the system is powered. In your original photo, the unit had power, but no traffic LEDs lit for ports 1 and 5 that were connected. If this continues, the hardware is likely damaged - reaching out via the help center with your order number, reporting a problem with a product, is the best next step!
