Base Station issues and reset woes

I have a BaseStation (purchased this year) that was working but took an unfortunate tumble during use today. The BlueBoat went into chaos mode and had to be recovered, the base station wouldn’t turn on. We pulled it apart and checked all connections - all looks ok on the surface.

In desperation we reset the mikrotik and then saw some signs of life. It now has some functions but only when external power is connected. Firstly, if the charge button is pressed while the powered off, all 4 bars light up. If the eye button is pressed, only 25% bar lights up.

If powered on, the 25% battery light flashes. In this mode, there is a solid orange light on the ethernet port on the board and red light on the GPS dongle, but no lights on the mikrotik.

If powered on and then I press the charge button, the mikrotik lights up (bars 1&2 solid on, bars 3&4 flashing) and audibly clicks.

Found this thread and suspect this contains the clues on what to do post-reset, but I’m a bit out of my depth: Can't connect to base station during initial blue boat set up after antenna gain change - #5 by tony-white

So, do the above diagnostics hint at any issues and/or is someone able to “explain like I’m 5” get things working again, please? It’s fairly time sensitive; I’m on east coast Australia time zone.

Hi @bri, welcome to the forum

Given this is a dropped device that has stopped working as expected, you may get a resolution faster / more effectively by making a product problem report to the Blue Robotics support team. It may not be the kind of issue that can readily be solved through community discussion, especially if it turns out to be damaged/broken.

Ah great - thanks for the tip! Will do.
