connection problems between blue boat and base station

Good morning. We’re experiencing major communication problems between the blue boat and the base station. Even at 10 meters away, with the boat stationary, the signal is constantly lost and regained.
This prevents us from reliably planning missions, with the risk of losing the boat. How can we resolve this problem? Thank you.

Hi @muds -

Welcome to the forums!

Sorry for the issue. The best way to get assistance and potentially suitable replacement parts is to report a problem with a product via the help center. Include your order number to help speed things up!

Also share if you’ve ever operated the BaseStation or BlueBoat with no antenna attached - thanks!

Perhaps this technical bulletin is also relevant, if your hardware was purchased a few of years ago?

I’m currently having the same issue. I replaced both the base station router and the router on the blue boat but seem to be having issues with the autopilot staying connected.

Hi @Randomguy22 -

Sorry for the frustrations.

Have you checked what signal strength is reported in the Mikrotik radio interface?

What range are you having connection issues at?

What antennas are you using (directional), and do you have the mast to raise the BlueBoat antenna height installed?

Have you changed any settings in the Mikrotik radio associated with antenna gain?

If you continue to have issues, as mentioned in my previous post please contact the support team via the help center - sharing responses to my questions above, alongside your oder # will get the ball rolling faster on finding you a resolution!

After doing some digging I think the issue was either an issue with my raspberry pi or a corrupted SD card. I swapped the rpi4 with an 8gb model I had and cloned the SD card to a new one and it seems to be running much better. The issue I had was also effecting my connection over my zero tier network.
