Base Station Charging Issue

The Base Station for the Blue Boat has recently stopped charging properly. It will still work when connected to a PC via USB, but won’t hold a charge. When I attempt to charge, the charging indicator just stays flashing on the first of four bars, without ever advancing.
Has any body else had this issue? I am assuming it is just a faulty battery, but it hasn’t been used enough that I think the battery is worn out.
Thanks!
Sean

Hi @SeanMorgan -
Your USB port may not be delivering enough power to charge while the device is powered on. Please connect a USB cable with power to the device, and press the charge button - an orange light should come on. You don’t want the green light next to it, indicating power, to come on. It may take more than 24 hours to fully recharge!

What kind of charger is required to get this fully charged. Our Base Station does the same thing described by Sean, above, but the “charging LED” never stops blinking.

Hi @rtcsl -
Welcome to the forums!

Your best bet is to plug the BaseStation into a charger, push the center button to make it start charging (orange light), and make sure it is turned off! It charges very slowly, and if the battery is depleted the load of being powered on reduces the charge rate to almost 0! Leaving it overnight, charging and turned off should fill the battery gauge!

Just as a follow up to anyone in the future. Our base station finally charged, but it took a complete whole weekend to charge completely. It also took a 65W power delivery “brick” as it seemed smaller power ones didn’t do much to get it charged up.

Also will note that our Base Station would often kill the Wifi even though it seemed like it was working/on, when it was low on battery. My guess is that battery was just way too drained to keep it going.
