Underwater exploration in Brittany, France

Hi,

A short excerpt from a dive with a BlueROV2 Heavy in the waters of the English Channel in Brittany, at the westernmost point of France. 10 meters deep, with a water temperature of 14 degrees Celsius in a coastal area swept by currents and storms. Anemones, gobies, sponges, creating a festival of colors.

Surface currents of 2 knots over the first 5-6 meters of descent, then much calmer at the bottom.

Thanks to BlueRobotics for making such images possible.

On the same dive, I found a fellow pagurus bernhardus wandering in the dark on a sand dune :

A bit too much gain on the thrusters and a bit of current. Didn’t want to hurt Bernard or do an unscheduled propeller test with Bernard acting as a frozen chicken. The rule was clear: keep my distance.
