Trouble Connecting to Rasp Pi V2 Camera

Hello!

This is my first time using a forum like this so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.

I am having trouble connecting my V2 Camera through BlueOS. At one point I had it connected but the framerate was nearly 1 fps.

The steps I have tried are:
Rebooting
Turning resetting Legacy mode and rebooting when necessary
Deleting the Config file as recommended in another post

Sometimes I will see mmal service 16.1, however when I try to add a source (1080p. 30fps) it gives the error message “Could not create video stream: timeout of 10000ms exceeded”

I installed BlueOS straight out of the box however. My Raspberry Pi 4’s Firmware is I think April 2021?

Additionally I don’t quite understand how to use this software. The project I am working on is an autonomous drone using Object detection to have the drone follow and Land.

I am used to using a LimeLight Camera and that gives the x y position of the object on the camera (if its on the right of the camera it outputs 27) and then turning/moving a robot based on that. I would like to do the same with a drone and I was pointed to BlueOS, but I am unsure as to how to get started. I understand that I need to send commands to the FC running Ardupilot, but how do get object detection working with BlueOS so I may do that? Would it be better to use another software?

Lastly, is there another place to be able to get help other than the forum? Unfortunately am significantly more used to discord servers.

Thanks!
