Thrusters not working after BlueOS upgrade

Hello,

New to the Forum but not to the BlueROV. I’ve had my ROV for 3 years now.

Today I upgraded to BlueOS newest stable versoin. I’ve updated all firmware I can think of. I use a Waterlinked DVL, so I added that extension. While performing the automated thruster test, it fails on thruster 4. In manual mode I can get 1-3 to function, but then 4-6 won’t respond, then 7&8 do (I have a heavy configuration). I swapped channels 3 & 4 on the pixhawks and thruster 4 will spin but three will not. It seems as though it is a pixhawks related issue. But it was working yesterday before I installed the new BlueOS and new firmwares.

Just looking to see if anyone has had this issue, it might be the pixhawks but it would be a coincidence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, we use this unit for our business.

Thanks,

Hi @sutheran, welcome to the forum

Apologies that it’s taken a while for me to get to this post. Is the problem still occurring, or has it been handled via our support email or something?

This is definitely not expected behaviour after updating.

My main recommendation would be to reset the autopilot firmware parameters via the BlueOS Vehicle Setup page (and then reboot the autopilot), but if that doesn’t help then there may be some hardware problem with the Pixhawk output pins.
